UPDATE: Little fashions hit big

Surprisingly, the big “fashion” winner on Inauguration  Day turned out to be J. Crew. The website crashed on inauguration day, after Malia and Sasha Obama were televised sporting J. Crew “crewcuts” children’s coats and velvet ribbon belts. The company’s home page figures a sketch of the design and a headline touting “First Fashions.”

Change We Can Believe In

It’s still too early to say whether or not the Obama’s can truly change Washington, but one thing is for sure; they are going to change the way we think about fashion in the White House. For one, we have an iconic couple taking office—young, tall, and full of energy. With Barack Obama’s height and slim fit; and Michelle’s fashion sense coupled with enviable arms (perfect for sleeveless designs), the fashion industry is effectively gaga over the First Couple.

Battle of the Eco-Bags

Who says you can’t have a good time even when the economy is on the skids? Times like these that call for extra creativity in the fun department. To this end, we called on our talented co-workers at Design Packaging to create eco-chic bags for a company-wide competition. Open to all employees across every function, this challenge was met with a high level of inventiveness and style. The results were unveiled at our company end-of-year festivities.
