Design Packaging's 2005 and 2010 marketing kits.
Design Packaging received the new 2010 marketing kit proofs today, they look amazing, I thought it would be fun to compare today's with one from 5 years ago.
In 2005 it was a laminated card stock pocket folder with sample booklet and price guide. This year's marketing kit is a rigid sleeve wrapped in a smooth white faux leather, suede interior, and debossed "Twenty Five -Design Packaging". The interior rigid box is wrapped in gloss spot UV'd paper, and houses 30 of our favorite projects from American Eagle to Z Gallerie.
2009's marketing kit will be featured in an upcoming book from Mao Mao Publications focusing on the art of designing promotional materials with high value and impact.
Slimmer and darker. What else is new? That seems to be the standard these days. Slim everything down and make it darker...bizarre stuff, I swear.
