Safeway Rebrands In-House Snack Packaging "Artisan"
Well, not artisan in the sense of food (though we found it pretty yummy), but artisan in the sense of packaging design. "The Snack Artist" is Safeway's store-brand of snacks that feature clever names and doodles on the food packaging. Frankly, we think it's brilliant.
The design is simple but eye-catching, making it stand out from a lot of the other brands on the shelves. It makes you smile and even chuckle, not to mention snapping a pic for twitter. It brings typical mainstream snack packaging design to a more down-to-earth and personal level. Of course, we also loved the resealable top feature that helps keep the chips stale-free. Read more about it on the Safeway blog.
Safeway's packaging design is all that, and a bag of chips (I can still say that, right?).

This wrapper is indeed better than the previous one. It is easier on the eyes and more tempting to buy.

love that they added a ziplock to it so that you can store it when you haven't finished it.
